Mcleodganj is a seat of Buddhist culture and religion and the Buddhist influence echoes and reverberates in the air. There are ancient monasteries and temples. The Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts or TIPA is an attration too for the tourists who are looking for special attractions in Himachal. A ten day festival is held every year which fills the air with vibrant cheer and enjoyment.
McLeodganj is also known for the Buddhist handicrafts, thangkas and the garments. Another of the special attractions in Himachal is the Namgyal Monastery and the architectural wonder of the Anglican Church at St John in the Wilderness.
McleodGanj is also known as Upper Dharamsala and it is a suburb of Dharamsala located the in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. You can reach McleodGanj and Dharamsala by rail, road or air as it is well connected. There are a plethora of places of interest in McleodGanj and Dharamsala that you can visit.
